I recently came down from Melbourne and was eager to visit this spot. The place had an impressive selection of baked goods, ranging from freshly baked breads and buttery croissants to decadent cakes, savory pies, and pizzas We decided to try the pizza, chicken pie, and white chocolate orange cake. The service was excellent, while there was a bit of a rush as we were making our decisions, the server was incredibly patient and attentive. The pizza was an absolute standout. The crust was the perfect balance of chewy and crisp, and the toppings were full of flavor. It was a well-executed pizza that didn’t rely on excessive ingredients but rather focused on quality and balance. Every bite was packed with flavor, and I was definitely impressed with the level of care that went into making it. The chicken pie was another highlight. The pastry was light and flaky, and the filling had a beautifully aromatic flavor. The combination of chicken, bacon, and leek was rich and comforting, but not too heavy. Originally, we ordered the strawberry chocolate cake, but unfortunately, by the time our order was being prepared, it had sold out. While we were a bit disappointed, the staff were super apologetic and went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary brownie. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture, it’s not every day that you get such excellent customer service. The brownie itself was a treat: rich, soft, and fudgy, with just the right amount of chocolate. If you're a fan of chocolate, it's a must-try. We also had the white chocolate orange cake, which was a delightful surprise. The cake was incredibly moist, and the pairing of orange and white chocolate was a perfect match. The orange provided a refreshing citrusy zing that complemented the creamy sweetness of the white chocolate, making for a flavorful and satisfying dessert. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this place. Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely delicious focaccia sandwiches. What a delight at the heart of the peninsula. Please dont miss this--their chicken sandwich is chef's kiss (thanks banginsangas) and the turkish roll is an amazing experience of its own.
The croissants were very fragrant, the staff were very quick and there was almost no waiting time, and the seating area was very unique, as if it had been cleaned out of a warehouse.
You might think having lunch foods at breakfast time is a little strange. We did - until we came here. The full spread of ‘normal’ bakery fare here, plus those delicious focaccia pizzas! The prosciutto one is my recommendation - just next level taste and not at all stingy on the toppings! Despite how busy the place is, everything moves quickly and efficiently and you’re not waiting too long before you can sink your teeth into something amazing. Coffee is fantastic too! A must visit.
Pretty cool venue in a converted car wash. The amount of pastries and savoury goods on offer is quite overwhelming. Hard to choose. Standouts were the brownies, focaccia and sourdough loaf.
Came here after seeing glowing recommendations online and my GOD was it amazing. We arrived when there were fewer than 10 people in line and still waited about 10 minutes. The service is definitely on the slow side. The servers were taking orders and making the coffee, which made things feel a bit inefficient. I love a good sausage roll, and theirs did not disappoint. Both the sausage roll and the pie were absolutely delicious. The pastry was perfect! Golden, flaky, just the right amount of crunch, and the fillings were generous, succulent, and full of flavor. And such reasonable prices! Not a single fault in the food. The line was 100% worth the wait. If they tightened up their service, this place would be perfect.
If your into Bakers and the goods this place is it. Everything is sensational the pies the cakes the cronuts.. omg the lemon custard. The croissants are on another level. The ladies serving are polite engaging and also make it special. If you have the means, mean to get here 10/10 special.
YUM! The chicken focaccia was VERY delicious, pizzas (heated up in-store) were great and sweets also very good! Everything tasted super fresh and perfect balance of flavours. Perfect spot for a brunch stop - can’t wait to visit again! Some previous reviews commenting on the cost, but you are honestly paying for quality. 10/10!
Came here on a Tuesday which was smart as there was no line (as I heard on weekends it can get hectic)! We got the butter chicken pie and I think it was the best pie I’ve ever had. The pastry was doughy but also crispy on the outside. The mixture was delicious and tasty - not too overpowering. Wow very impressed
Warehouse-type feels. Great pastries. The beef bourguignon pie was fall-off-the-bone soft. The chicken, leek, bacon, champagne pie was tender and well balanced. Pies were served with tomato relish - yum! The whole egg tart was savoury and paired with a hollandaise-type sauce.
